A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
Ecclesiastes 3:4
Last Friday we had breakfast with a couple who have experienced, in great measure, the above verse.
Both had a spouse who suffered a long time with a terminal illness, and both attended their loved one until they passed away. After going through a period of mourning of the loss of a spouse to whom they had been married many years, they rekindled an old friendship. This friendship led into a romantic relationship which ended up in their marriage on August 31st of this year.

Their relationship embodies lots of love and laughter. If it wasn't for their age, you would think you were witnessing a couple who were in their early twenties and that they had not experienced the realities of life. It was so great to see their lightheartedness after all they had been through. In Proverbs 17:22 it says, "A cheerful heart is good medicine,... ." Their laughter and cheerfulness is serving to be a healing balm for the great difficulties that they have experienced. This again is evidence of God's faithfulness in our lives. God is a great healer. He sent Jesus to reclaim a fallen world and continues to be in the process of reclaiming.
Blessings and Encouragement,
Paul, Gail, Patsy, and Penny
